Assumptions and limitations
- This is an estimate for general information, not tax advice. Your actual liability is determined under the Income Tax Ordinance, 2001 and may differ.
- Taxable income is assumed to equal the income you enter. Exempt income, deductible allowances, Zakat, and other deductions are not applied.
- Tax credits and reductions (for example for investments, donations, pension contributions, teachers/researchers or senior citizens) are not applied.
- Salaried rates apply where salary exceeds 75% of taxable income; otherwise non-salaried rates generally apply. Choose the category that fits your situation.
- Separate regimes are not included: income taxed under final or fixed tax regimes, capital gains, rental income taxed separately, dividends and profit on debt, minimum tax, and super tax under section 4C for very high incomes.
- The section 4AB surcharge (from tax year 2025) is applied to the tax on slabs when taxable income exceeds Rs 10,000,000. Association of persons (AOP) rules are not modelled.
- Monthly tax is the annual tax divided by 12. Actual monthly withholding by an employer may vary.
